Strikes My Fancy

I didn't choose her, but a better horse could not be found. When vets visit they invariably say "Look at that classic American Quarter Horse. You don't see many like that anymore!".

The reason for this was selective breeding towards a relative, a horse named Impressive. Unfortunately, that breeding trend resulted in a widespread genetic disease known as Hyperkalemic Periodic Paralysis (HYPP). Now the tide has turned back to American roots and there is now a number of "Foundation" Quarter Horse registries. I haven't tried to register Fancy there, but I'm confident that if they were to look at her pedigree they would take her.
